Sectional garage doors are made up of individual panels or sections.
The sectional garage door can have between 3 and 8 individual sections or panels. These individual panels are connected by hinges, allowing the door to bend as it lifts up. The door moves overhead, resting parallel to the garage ceiling. Brackets hold the door in place and provide guidance for the door to lift up and over. Sectional garage doors use torsion spring systems to operate.

Size Availability And Installation Clearance Requirements for a Roller Garage Door
Sectional Garage Doors can be used in garages with opening heights between 1825mm and 3440mm and a width between 2400mm and 6600mm. The sizes available may vary, depending on the style of sectional door you choose.
Sectional Garage Doors with an opener require the following clearance requirements:
Standard headroom requirements are 350mm
For low headroom 200mm is required
Side room requirements is 140mm on each side
Backspace required is 3550mm

A soft and pliable weather seal prevents rain and leaves from entering under the garage door. Mohair is fitted on the sides as well as along the top of the garage opening. The mohair reduces gaps between the door and the door jamb. By placing the mohair on the sides and along the top, a draft seal is created and the garage is more weather proof.
